Exemptions From Standard Protocol Review

Application for UCUCA Approval for a Program Project, Training Grant, Core Grant, or Center Grant (Sample Memorandum): For large, umbrella projects that have no animal use in and of themselves, but instead encompass smaller projects that do include use of animals. Each smaller project must be submitted as a separate protocol application for UCUCA review and approval.

Application for UCUCA Approval of Exemption from Review (Sample Memorandum): For projects using invertebrates, dead animals, animal parts, non-intrusive field research, or projects sub-contracted to another organization.
